What’s up, everybody. If you are running LSA for your restoration business or the local service ads and stop what you’re doing and listen to this message. Google just announced a major change coming to Local Service Ads requiring businesses to have a matching verified Google Business Profile in order to run local service ads anymore.

Starting November 21st. What does that mean? That means if you do not have a verified Google business profile, or you don’t have one at all, your LSA is not going to work anymore. And also if your name, your address, and your phone number do not match between your LSA and your Google business profile, they will not show those ads either.

The good news is, all you need to do is verify your Google business profile or make sure that your information matches what you have in LSA and your ads will show as they normally should. The other thing about this is it’s kind of, forcing some truth in advertising for people out there that have been circumventing the process of just running LSA and really not being a legitimate business.

So for the people out there that are doing this right, GREAT! Make sure that your Google business profile matches exactly what you have in your LSA and you should be fine. Make sure you have a verified Google business profile as well. The other cool thing about this is they are decoupling the reviews from LSA and Google business profile, bringing them into one spot.

So all of your reviews are going to show between both platforms. Anyways, make sure that you have your Google business profile verified and all your information matches by November 21st, of 2024. That’s right! We’re almost at the end, and you should be in healthy shape to continue to run those local service ads, get more leads for your restoration business. We’ll talk to you next time.
