If anyone tries to promise you that you can be in the #1 position on Google by working with them, that is a huge red flag and you need to run in the opposite direction.

JC is here to give us some insight about that and talk about what is even more important than your position on Google- getting legitimate leads and phone calls.

Ben: And a big thing JC, that we’ve got, we hear this all the time, is just, guys out there, there are no guarantees when it comes to SEO, right? If anybody’s promising page one, anybody’s promising an increased amount of leads in any way, just run the other way.

And the screenshot that’s up here, if you’re watching on YouTube, is literally from Google. It’s a couple years old. I’m sure they have it changed this. Google hasn’t engaged with anybody to give them preferential treatment.

But the first bullet here that’s highlighted says, “No one can guarantee number one rankings or any kind of preferential treatment or any relationships. I’ve talked to a lot of people that have friends that work at Google and blah, blah, blah, and it’s usually b.s.” Right, JC?

JC: Yeah. And you know, and keep in mind, you know, in terms of SEO and the organic section, getting on the first page of Google, that’s just half the picture. Yes. Okay? The bigger piece of that is convergence. You want those phone calls, right?

You know, we can get our clients all the first page rankings in the world, but you know, if that phone is not ringing with qualified people that legitimately need their services, then what’s the point? I always tell our prospects, all roads lead towards getting those qualified calls.
