You wouldn’t run a team without watching the game tape, would you?
So why are you running a sales team without it?
Nick D’Urbano on giving restoration owners visibility into the conversations that decide the job.
Nick: So ultimately, we’re giving restorers that visibility into what’s going into those conversations so that you can coach your team, you can give them feedback, you can, you know, improve your training materials to make it kind of rooted in data and what’s actually happening, so you can start moving the numbers up. And so that—that’s effectively what
Ben: Yeah, I got to say though, back up to Bill Belichick, he did win because they cheat, and I got.
Nick: Oh, well, that—yeah.
Ben: We’re Dolphins fans down here in the Restoration Rundown. No, it’s okay, we’re Dolphins fans, but the good thing you can say about us being Dolphins fans is we’re very loyal people. And we’re very—we’re very sold on hope, and we do have a lot of delusions. So, that’s good. So, anyways, back to—back to business. So, what made you want to get all in on Porter? Give us the 30-second version too, first. I want to kind of find out what exactly it is. I know we spoke offstage and last week, but just walk us through exactly what this is set out to do, what it does, and kind of why you decided to go all in on this. Because the last time we spoke, Distance was the thing, right? So, talk to me a little bit about that journey.
Nick: Absolutely. So, as a business owner, you know, it’s always an honor and a privilege when you get to fire yourself from your company and move on to—to something else. We hired a wonderful revenue leader who is now quarterbacking the Distance side, and it’s allowed me to really focus my energy on, you know, on—on Porter. So—so that’s effectively what we’re, you know, what we’re doing. Ultimately, when—when I look at the problems we’re trying to solve for restorers, if we’re trying to generate revenue for an organization, there is no bigger like needle-mover than improving your conversion rate. You know, if—if—if you’re only closing five out of 10 deals and I can help you close seven or eight out of 10 deals at a contract value of 10, 15, 20, $30,000 per rep per month—I mean, all of a sudden, the numbers start to stack up. And this is—now we’re talking about like a six-figure to seven-figure opportunity for most.
