Ben: You’ve keyed in on Google. and I just want to take a second real quick. We’re going to do a lot, all of this work on Google. I’m assuming, a lot of people, you know, there’s a ton of other search engines out there, but just in general terms, the reason that we spend a lot of time talking about Google and SEO is, Google owns the lion’s share of search.
98% of search flows through Google. YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world, also owned by Google. So the rule of thumb that we use here when we’re talking to clients are like, well, what about DuckDuckGo and Bing, and all these other search engines? We got to get right with Google first.
That’s where the majority of your search is going to be coming from. And then we start off, you know, you can optimize for these other channels, but it’s such a low volume that want to make sure we’re doing the right one first, right? So we will be on Google. JC: Cool. So I did a Google search for water damage restoration, Atlanta, and the 1st section over here. These are Google guaranteed or local service ads, which we did a recent podcast on and below that, this is also Google ads, but specifically the search text ads. Meaning your bid on keywords like water damage restoration.
Then over here, you have the Google map section. These are all the, these are the top 3 Google business profiles. But for today, what I really want to focus on is the organic results. All right? And specifically, so on page one, we are going to take a close look at reliable restoration over here. So I have it already loaded up on my screen-
Ben: And these guys are the number one organic result when we typed in water damage restoration Atlanta. So this is a really valuable position on a search engine. JC just broke down the three areas that we talk about. You have your paid ads or whether it’s LSA or Google, regular Google ads, then you have your map section, which is a huge one for you as well, but that’s tied directly to your Google business profile.
And right below that is the organic section. This is the non paid section that is a direct result of SEO work. So whoever this is reliable restoration, kudos to you. You are number one in Atlanta in the organic section.
