Ben: So after all that, how’d you get into restoration?
Jason: So while I was here back in Southwest Florida, I had a friend of mine, Steve Blick, who owns FP Property Restoration. Him and his wife, Lisa, friends with them for probably eight years, eight, nine years. He always kept asking me if I wanted to get into restoration. I’m like, ‘Nah, you know, it’s either hit or miss when you’re working or for working friends or family.’ Finally, one day he said, ‘I got to have you over here. How do we make it work?’ So I figured out a plan and an idea, and that’s how I got into it. So I got in from a friend.”
Ben: So from your entry point at FP, just friend just lying to you how great it’s going to be and getting you in the door. Now he’s got you. You’re stuck. You’ve been here 5 years. We were talking before in, you know, the pre-show stuff. You describe FP as starting with an idea in a truck. What’s it been like on the inside watching this company grow the last 5 years?
Jason: Tell you, the growth has been, it’s been crazy. Just when you thought you’re at a pretty great pace on growth, whether, you know, it’s not so much, you know, establishing new locations, but just growing your existing locations, and then another opportunity pops up, and it ramps up another notch, know how to capture it. I’m going to write a plan for it, and damn it, it works. It works every time.
