Just a heads up on a new Google review scam. What these scammers are doing is leaving 1 star Google reviews. Then they will hit you up saying that if you want them to remove that bad review then send a gift card. SMH! If this happens to you just take a screenshot and report it to Google’s help center to remove that B.S. review.

There is a new Google review scam going around quite rapidly lately. Happening mostly to restaurants, but we have seen it happening to restoration businesses as well. What people are doing is they’re leaving one star negative reviews on companies, and then they follow it up with a message or an email telling you that if you want them to take it down, you need to send ’em a Gift Card.

Well, if it happens to you, don’t worry about it. Don’t even respond to the message. Don’t respond to the email. You can report it to Google. They are very much aware of this scam going on. Go ahead and report the review with screenshots to Google, to their help center and they should take it down for you right away.

Don’t send any gift cards out. Don’t send any Bitcoin and don’t engage with these scammers out there, and good luck. If you have any issues with it or you need help, shoot us a message. Ironclad Restoration Marketing will be happy to help you guys out there. Good luck!
