John 15:13 in the Bible says, “Greater love has no one than this to lay one’s life down for one’s friends.” And I think that verse perfectly highlights the values of sacrifice, the humility, the level of commitment, and the selflessness that embody our United States Veterans.
So today and every day, you need to thank a Vet. Whether you are related to a Veteran, you know a Veteran, you work with a Veteran, or you just see a veteran out at a restaurant while you’re having family dinner. Just take a moment or two to say thank you. Shake their hands. Buy them dinner. Show some gratitude.
I also wanted to give a very special shout-out to my two little brothers, Michael who’s retired from the United States Air Force as a combat Veteran of Iraq- Operation Iraqi Freedom. He flew over 700 combat hours. And to my youngest brother Chris, who’s currently serving our United States Army as a Major. Thank you, boys!
