We were so lucky to be able to talk to Doug Weatherman, COO, of Rare Restoration & Roofing.
He is ahead of the game when it comes to AI and how it is adversely affecting the Restoration Industry.
In this clip, he talks about how we can regulate AI to combat these negative affects, and how it is our responsibility to be proactive and protect ourselves as well as our customers from the negative effects of AI.
Those complaints are the thing that’s gonna lead to regulation. Right now, there is no regulation on this. Everybody’s just kind of, flying around with their guns out and nobody’s really checking on any systems right now, and systems are being allowed to do things that – if given a lot more thought or a deeper level of thought, maybe there would be a regulation on the amount of things that AI is being allowed to interact with.
Because right now, other than missile guidance, it’s not much. Everything else is kind of, being looked at for an AI solution. Every other industry, every other human being out there, I had a list the other day too with like data entry people, even taxi drivers, delivery drivers. Amazon’s already doing their robot, for their robot driver program.
I have an Amazon building, a big one right here in Colorado Springs. The stuff that you see them testing around this city is insane. They’ve got the drone delivery, they’ve got the automated drivers, big old pro masters rolling around with nobody sitting in ’em. All kinds of stuff like this. And these are already happening.
And like we said in the very beginning, this is a technology that’s gonna grow and advance faster than anything you’ve ever seen before because of its ability to teach and learn from itself. What’s gonna be like by 2030? You know what I mean? And it’s up to us to make sure that we protect ourselves, teach our customers how to protect themselves from anything that could be adversely affected by Artificial Intelligence interaction, or interjection, or integration.
