I just came across an article that announced that there is a major security breach with the All-in-One SEO plugin. That plugin is used by agencies and people that have WordPress websites to help them optimize their websites for SEO. So, if you or your agency think you may be using the All-in-One SEO, you need to make sure that it is updated to the latest version. This is to patch the vulnerability, or your site could be in major trouble.
That is also to say that you should make sure that you have a backup solution. If your website is one of the more than 3 million websites that were affected by this new security vulnerability, you want to make sure that you have a fallback plan if something does take your website down, whether it’s a plugin or a hacker or whatever the case may be. Having a backup solution locally, meaning you save one on your desktop, and via hosting, is always the best practice to make sure that your website can get put back up within minutes if you ever experience any technical downtimes or any issues with plugins like the All-in-One SEO.
