We love a pretty website, but a dialed-in Google Business Profile?

That’s where the magic happens and the money is made! Don’t make people dig. Make them call.

It’s a great feeling to have a sleek website, but honestly? Most people never make it there. If your GBP looks like a ghost town — no pics, no details, no clues to what you actually do — they’re scrolling right past.

When it comes to optimization and just basic setup, you know, outside of the verification process that’s super frustrating, walk everybody through, you know, the ins and outs of what they need to make sure they have in place, whether they don’t have a profile yet or they have an existing one, the things they need to make sure that they have, the must-haves on that GBP. I didn’t really touch on it before, but it does say to claim your business.

So if you don’t know if you have a Google Business Profile, there is a chance that somebody out there already made it for you. So Google your business, see if it’s out there. If it is, claim it. And then you wanna make sure It’s a little bit of a pain in the ’cause you do have to- Yeah. check on this every once in a while, ’cause people can go in and say, “Hey, this phone number doesn’t look right,” and they can change it.

There was a big thing towards the end of last year where competitors were going in and changing your pin on the map, which was causing a lot of problems. It’s a jungle out there, people. Not everybody’s your friend. Not everybody wants to see you succeed, so you do have to be vigilant about that. You wanna make sure your service area is correct.

That’s really super important to make sure that you’re hitting the right market. If you don’t have a physical address listed, then it’s extra important. I don’t want a weirdo in my home, you know? If I go on your Google Business Profile and it looks beautiful and I could see all these pictures of your services and you could even write little descriptions about your services, I’m gonna be hooked.

“This is great. All the information I need right here in one snapshot. I don’t even have to go to the website. I’m making the call.” So, optimization is super important, uh, especially if you’re marketing to people like me, uh, you know, household people that I’m not going to DIY.

Show off your work! Drop those service details! Post the photos! Give people everything they need to hit that call button without thinking twice. Because if you’re not optimizing your GBP… you’re losing leads before the game even starts.
