Let’s discuss the very basic foundation of your Digital Marketing Strategy by discussing the 3 Ms – Market, Message, and Media.

These are essential insights for getting the most out of all of your marketing, your customer interactions, and pretty much everything you do for your restoration company.

Basic Marketing boils down to three areas. Okay. You have your Market, which is who you’re selling to. The Message is how you’re going to resonate with that person. And then you have your Media is what you’re going to do to resonate with that person.

So you craft your Market, and craft your Message based off that Market, and then the Media is the vehicle that you’re going to drive to attract your Market to your services. Okay.

So a big thing that wasn’t in the big problems we have, but it’s a problem we see everywhere is a lot of people, every business out there, not just for Restorers, but most cases they don’t know who their ideal customer is. And I don’t mean they don’t know that what they provide as a service. I mean, they really have never given it a thought to see who they want to speak to.

Yes. You want to be Fire, Water, Mold, whatever the case may be, whatever services you offer Recon, but who are you trying to sell to? One episode prior to this, I interviewed Rocky from 1-Tom-Plumber. They have one of the best stories when it comes to figuring out who their ideal customer was.

And before they made a logo, before they started the business, before they did anything. They spend an ungodly amount of money, and time, and effort, and resources because that’s how important it is figuring out who it is that they want to sell to.

Once they identified who their target demographic was and in their case it was House Makers, and in most cases Female, they then crafted their entire brand around that person who they were, what they’re afraid of, and what resonates with them, and that’s why they’re one of the fastest growing companies out there.

And if you’re not doing that, you know, don’t be afraid. Like, if you’ve had a logo on the side of your truck, I know a lot of people get hung up on your logos. My vehicle’s already wrapped. It’s okay.

You still have an opportunity to figure out who it is that you want to talk to and really drive that Message to them, and talk to them with your Website, with your Social Media posts, with your Google Business posting, with your targeted ads and everything that you do out in the community. Okay.

So it’s not something that’s dire. You need to throw the grenade at your entire brand. If you don’t know. It’s just something you need to be cognizant of and more so align your entire team to understand who it is you’re working with. Because every single person that works at your Restoration Company is a Salesperson.

They’re an extension of your sales force, whether they’re answering phones or cleaning your office, they are selling your company. So everything from how your vehicles are parked, what they look like, to how you engage people in public, all of that is super important.
